Larger buildings, warehouses, manufacturing spaces, multiple floors, multi-building properties, restricted-access areas, unusually complex construction, extensive travel, or specialized deliverables are quoted separately.

What is included in a Wi-Fi site survey?
Depending on the scope, we can provide an on-site RF survey, floor-plan coverage mapping, a signal-strength heatmap, survey-path documentation, channel and band analysis, signal/noise/SNR review, AP placement observations, and written recommendations.
Do I need to have a floor plan?
A floor plan is helpful, but it is not always required. For many small offices and commercial spaces, a simple layout or usable sketch is enough to perform the survey and document findings.
Can you fix the problems you find?
Yes. Chicago Datacom can quote access-point installation or relocation, Cat6 cabling, PoE switching, rack work, and other remediation identified during the survey.
Do you survey warehouses and larger buildings?
Yes. Larger facilities are quoted based on square footage, floor count, building construction, access conditions, and the level of documentation required.
Can you survey Wi-Fi after an installation?
Yes. Post-installation validation can repeat the physical coverage survey after new APs are installed to document the completed deployment and identify any remaining weak areas.
